Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling is reportedly set to resume contract negotiations with the Premier League champions.
The England international's current deal with the Citizens is due to expire in 2023, and he is reported to be considering his future at the club after struggling to nail down a regular starting role last term.
Sterling has been tipped to head to Tottenham Hotspur as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Harry Kane, but the City winger supposedly has no interest in such a proposal.
According to The Sun, Sterling remains in the long-term plans of Pep Guardiola and is preparing to restart talks over a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.
The report adds that the former Liverpool man has assembled an entourage to help him get a deal over the line, as his last round of negotiations failed to bear fruit when he was representing himself.
Sterling scored three goals and set up one more en route to the Euro 2020 final with England, while he registered 14 goals and 12 assists from 49 games in all competitions for City last term. body check tags ::
