Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has suggested that an £85m price tag on Gareth Bale is a fair assessment given his quality.
The Spanish giants are reportedly prepared to part with the sum in order to lure the prolific winger away from Tottenham Hotspur.
"The price of players is determined by the market," Goal.com quotes Ramos as saying. "He's not very expensive from my point of view.
"It's important that there are young, national players on this squad because a national core is very important. But from there it's wonderful to have great players. It's a good philosophy and a good project.
"The president [Florentino Perez] and [Carlo] Ancelotti will decide if he needs to come here."
It has been reported that Bale is keen to hold talks with Madrid over a possible move to the Bernabeu.
