Gareth Bale has told Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy that he wants a move to Real Madrid, according to a report.
Tottenham's summer has been dogged by talks of the Welsh winger's potential departure, and Spanish newspaper Marca has today printed quotes attributed to Bale in which he expresses his interest in talking to Madrid.
"You made me a promise. You promised me if we didn't qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up, you'd listen to it," Marca quotes Bale as saying to Levy.
"Well, that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate.
"I'm not interested in Manchester United or any other club. I only want to play for Real Madrid."
Bale finished as Tottenham's top scorer last season with 21 goals in 34 appearances.
