Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a cut-price January bid for Schalke 04 forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The 29-year-old, who was on the scoresheet as the Gelsenkirchen outfit came from two goals down to draw with Arsenal last night, has eight months to run on his current contract.
It is understood that Schalke would prefer to extend Huntelaar's contract but, according to The Independent, they may be willing to sell the Dutchman to Spurs for £7m if a new deal cannot be agreed before the winter transfer window opens.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Huntelaar.
