Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso as an alternative to Sergio Reguilon.
When Spurs signed Reguilon in 2020, they had to agree to a buy-back clause, giving Real the opportunity to re-sign the left-back at the end of 2021-22.
While Los Blancos have made no decisions regarding a potential reunion with the 25-year-old, it is a scenario which could suit all parties with the club in the market for a new player for that position.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Spurs are scouring the market for a potential replacement and hold an interest in Cambiaso.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a regular at Genoa this season, contributing one goal and four assists from 25 Serie A appearances.
Cambiaso, who is also said to be a target of Napoli and Juventus, has just 15 months remaining on his contract, and fresh terms will not be agreed while Genoa are battling to remain in the top flight.
