Tottenham have failed in an attempt to bring Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to White Hart Lane.
The 25-year-old, who joined City in January for £27m, was the subject of Tottenham’s interest for months before the striker decided to move to Eastlands.
Despite failing to land the Bosnian last season, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp attempted to lure the forward to London this summer. However, the club couldn’t match Dzeko’s current wage packet, according to talkSPORT.
The former Wolfsburg forward, who scored in City’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in the Community Shield on Sunday, made 14 appearances for Mancini’s side last season.
