Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly fearful that Christian Eriksen will reject the club's attempts to sell him during the January transfer window.
The Denmark international will see his contract with Spurs expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign, and the playmaker is seemingly desperate to leave the club.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are willing to accept offers in the region of £30m during the winter window, but Eriksen is ready to reject a January exit with a view to leaving on a free next summer.
The report claims that the 27-year-old is determined to join 'an elite European job' and is aware that better options will arrive if he is available to sign a pre-contract at the start of 2020.
The Dane has only contributed one goal in eight appearances for Spurs this season, while he missed a penalty in Tuesday's shock EFL Cup defeat to League Two outfit Colchester United.
Manchester United and Real Madrid were both strongly linked with moves during the summer transfer window.
