Goalkeeper Michel Vorm has said that he is "very happy" to have been given the opportunity to sign a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
Vorm has only made 26 appearances in all competitions since signing from Swansea City in a £5m deal in 2014, but the Dutch stopper has revealed that he and his family are settled in North London and that he is targeting a positive future at White Hart Lane.
The 33-year-old told the club's official website: "That I can extend my contract here is very positive. I'm very happy here, my family is very happy and that is very important.
"I've got a lot of respect for the staff and the players here and I think we have shown already that we can compete with the best. We have to take more steps ahead, we've got the new stadium coming up, this year we played Champions League with this group so things are very positive for the future."
The news comes just 24 hours after the Premier League outfit announced that first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had penned a new six-year deal.
