Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, but will need to better Paris Saint-Germain's wage offer to lure him to North London.
Kessie's contract at the San Siro expires in the summer and it is believed that negotiations over a new deal with the Italian giants is at a standstill.
AC Milan let goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma leave on a free transfer at the end of last season, and Kessie could follow in the shot-stopper's footsteps in a few months time.
Sport Witness reports that PSG have already said that they are ready to accommodate Kessie's needs to bring him to the French capital, therefore Spurs will have to offer higher wages to seal his signature.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is said to be a long-time admirer of the Ivory Coast international, but the manager will have to persuade Daniel Levy to significantly open the chequebook to sign the midfielder.
Kessie has made 202 appearances for AC Milan, scoring 33 goals and providing 16 assists during that time. body check tags ::
