Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly resolved to keep close eye on the situation of Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nubel.
The North London club are said to be conscious of the need to plan for life after Hugo Lloris, whose contract expires in 2022.
Nubel only broke into the Schalke first team during the second half of last season, but was named captain at the start of this term and has impressed with his performances between the sticks.
According to talkSPORT, Spurs will keep a close eye on Nubel ahead of next summer.
The 23-year-old, who has been compared to Manuel Neuer, is yet to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side ahead of his current contract expiring at the end of this season.
New manager Jose Mourinho is also said to be keen on signing Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias in the next summer window.
