Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Marcus Edwards has linked up with SBV Excelsior on a loan deal.
Edwards developed a reputation with his performances in the academy team at the North London outfit, but the 19-year-old is yet to make an impression in senior football.
The winger has been restricted to just two substitute outings - one in the EFL Cup with Spurs and another in the Championship at Norwich City - and the Premier League side have now let Edwards go to play in the Dutch top flight.
Excelsior finished in 11th place in the league standings last season, but goals were a problem with just 41 being scored in 34 matches.
Edwards is under pressure to impress, with less than two years remaining on his contract at Spurs.
