Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to hold discussions over the possibility of terminating Danny Rose's contract at the club.
The 30-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the summer transfer window, but the deadline passed with the left-back still at the club.
Rose has not been involved for Spurs this season, though, and he has been left out of their 25-man squad for the Premier League.
The Englishman still has eight months left to run on his £70,000-a-week contract with Jose Mourinho's side, but according to Football Insider, the capital giants are considering offering him a pay-off to leave.
The report claims that Tottenham are not prepared to pay off the remainder of his deal but will attempt to put together a package to convince Rose to end his time at the club at an earlier stage.
Rose, who spent the second half of the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Newcastle United, has made 214 appearances for Spurs in all competitions.
