Eric Dier is reportedly looking to double his wages at Tottenham Hotspur, a development which is said to have 'staggered' club officials.
While Dier has recently been a regular in the centre of defence, the versatile England international has been limited to 23 starts during the current campaign.
However, with a year left on his contract, it appears that the 26-year-old wants to be rewarded for committing himself to the North London outfit.
According to the Daily Mail, Dier wants to earn another £60,000 per week, double what he currently receives at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report suggests that Spurs' hierarchy have been left surprised by the player's stance, especially when he is said to prefer playing under Jose Mourinho.
Due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, Spurs are said to be against handing Dier a pay rise of £3m per year.
