Tottenham Hotspur reportedly plan to make a move for Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi as soon as the transfer window opens in January.
The Belgian forward has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in the past few months and according to the Daily Mail, Spurs are prepared to test the Ligue 1 club's resolve with a strong early bid.
The 22-year-old insisted last month that his future was with the French side but scouts from both Spurs and their London rivals Arsenal were present for Marseille's 1-0 win against Rennes last week.
Spurs are keen to find a suitable back-up for Harry Kane and it is believed that the club see Batshuayi as an alternative to Saido Berahino, whom they attempted to sign in the summer.
Batschuayi has scored 19 goals in 42 league games so far in his two-year spell at the Stade Velodrome, which includes 12 strikes this season alongside five assists.
