Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly unlikely to complete the transfer of RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer in January.
The Austria international has just 18 months remaining on his contract, something which has inevitably led to interest in his signature.
Spurs have been heavily linked with the 26-year-old as they consider potential replacements for Dele Alli, who has struggled for game time under Jose Mourinho.
However, The Athletic claims that Leipzig have no intention of parting ways with one of their star players during the current transfer window.
The report adds that Spurs are confident of eventually signing Sabitzer for a fee in the region of £30m later in 2021.
The versatile playmaker has contributed three goals from 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
