Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been left in the dark regarding the future plans of Christian Eriksen.
With the midfielder having less than a year remaining on his contract, a move to another top European club at some point during the summer had appeared likely.
However, barring a late approach from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus, the Denmark international is now expected to stay in North London for at least the first half of the season.
Nevertheless, The Guardian claims that Spurs remain unsure of his next move as a result of a falling out between the agent of one of their star men and chairman Daniel Levy.
The breakdown in communication has put Spurs in a position where they are becoming increasingly fearful that they will lose the 27-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino has only selected Eriksen in his starting lineup for one of the club's opening three Premier League fixtures.
