Former Croatian international Davor Suker has advised his fellow countryman Luka Modric to join Real Madrid this summer.
Modric is believed to be keen on a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with the likes of Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all credited with an interest in his services.
Discussing the midfielder's future, Suker said that he would be the perfect addition for his former club.
"As a future president of Croatian football, I'd love to see Luka Modric join Real Madrid," he told Marca.
"He has the quality and the ability to play for a big club like Real, but it is a question I will pose with my heart to Mourinho and Perez."
Suker spent three years with Los Blancos before joining Arsenal in 1999.
