Arnaut Danjuma is reportedly travelling to London for a medical after Tottenham Hotspur hijacked Everton's loan move for the Villarreal winger.

The 25-year-old was still set to join the Blues despite the sacking of Frank Lampard, who was integral in the player's decision to join the struggling club.

Sky Sports News reports that Tottenham have scheduled a medical for the former Bournemouth man on Tuesday evening, and the player is travelling to the capital.

The Dutch international was willing to join Everton to test himself, according to the report, and was willing to reject more lucrative offers.

The deal with the Blues was understood to be a straight loan, with no obligation or option to buy the player, although it is unknown at this stage if Tottenham's loan deal is the same.

The six-cap international has featured 10 times in La Liga so far this season, scoring two goals. body check tags ::
