Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to reaching an agreement over the transfer of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Lilywhites are being tipped to raid the Serie A market following Antonio Conte's arrival, with the Italian working with Fabio Paratici on the club's transfer strategy.
With Kessie's AC Milan deal due to expire at the end of the season and no renewal in sight, an intense battle for the midfielder's services is expected to commence in 2022.
However, Spurs are apparently set to win the race for Kessie's signature, as journalist Rudy Galetti claims that an agreement is "close" between the two parties.
Galetti adds that Kessie can expect to pocket £8.5m per year in North London, with Spurs aiming to secure a pre-contract agreement in January before he officially joins next summer.
Kessie has two goals from 10 appearances in all competitions this term and boasts a total of 32 goals and 15 assists in 194 games for the Rossoneri. body check tags ::
