Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back William Pacho.
The 22-year-old has made a significant impression in the Bundesliga this season after arriving from Royal Antwerp in the summer transfer window.
Pacho has played every minute of Frankfurt's 19 Bundesliga matches, while he has also made nine further appearances across the DFB-Pokal and the Europa Conference League.
The Ecuador international has ultimately played a key role in a Frankfurt backline which has conceded just 22 league goals this season, leaving Dino Toppmoller's side with the third-best defensive record in the German top flight.
Despite being in the middle of his first season with the Bundesliga club, Pacho is already being linked with a move away from Deutsche Bank Park.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Tottenham are one of several clubs that are currently showing an interest in the defender.
Spurs have sent scouts to watch Pacho on a number of occasions this season, as they weigh up whether to pursue a move in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham have already strengthened their defence this month, having recruited Romania international Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
Dragusin has added cover to Ange Postecoglou's current first-choice centre-back pairing of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
The Tottenham boss is still expected to bring in another central defender in the summer, as he looks to build a squad that suits his style of play.
While Pacho has been identified as a potential target, Spurs could face competition for his signature from other clubs in the Premier League.
Frankfurt will be in a strong position if they decide to entertain a sale, with Pacho under contract until the summer of 2028.
The youngster, who has earned nine caps for Ecuador, is expected to line up in the Frankfurt backline when his side take on Koln on Saturday. body check tags ::
