Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to offer £44m for Roma teenager Nicolo Zaniolo.
Zaniolo has scored six times in 36 appearances for Roma this season, having arrived at the Stadio Olimpico from fellow Italian side Inter Milan in last summer's transfer window.
The 19-year-old still has four years left to run on his contract with the Yellow and Reds, who still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four in Serie A entering the final weekend of action.
Juventus were thought to lead the race for the teenager but according to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham are readying a £44m bid in an attempt to secure the attacker's signature ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Zaniolo has shown his versatility this season by operating in as many as four positions for Roma, including as a centre-forward against Genoa back in December.
Spurs, who are currently preparing to face Liverpool in the Champions League final, have not signed a first-team player since Lucas Moura arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
