Valencia could reportedly be priced out of a January move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Winks as they are not prepared to invest any money in deals outside of paying for wages.
Winks has made 16 appearances for Spurs during the 2020-21 campaign, but the midfielder has struggled for regular action in the Premier League and could be allowed to leave on a short-term deal.
According to AS, Valencia have been in talks with Jose Mourinho's side over the England international for weeks, although the finances of the deal are an issue.
The report claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants to receive a fee for a loan move, but Valencia, who have financial problems, are not prepared to accept the demands.
The 24-year-old, who has been involved in Tottenham's last three league matches, has a contract with his English club until the summer of 2024.
Everton have also previously been linked with the central midfielder.
