The agent of Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has revealed that Barcelona may be one of the "several teams" interested in signing his client this summer.
On Thursday, it was reported that the Belgium international had courted interest from the Catalan giants.
However, his representative, Mustapha Nakhli, confirmed that the Spurs defender is much sought-after but refused to reveal if Barcelona were in the queue for the 27-year-old.
"Several teams are interested in Jan," he told Het Nieuwsblad. "I cannot confirm or deny whether Barcelona are one of them.
"Tottenham is not a small club. It's too soon to give them an answer. Several clubs have registered their interest in Jan. We'll see."
Vertonghen, who joined the Lilywhites from Ajax in 2012, remains contracted at White Hart Lane until 2016.
