Ajax central defender Jan Vertonghen has been urged to join Tottenham Hotspur by his teammate Toby Alderweireld.
Vertonghen has been attracting the interest of a number of clubs this season and Harry Redknapp's side have been strongly linked with a summer move for the 24-year-old.
After impressing in the Eredivisie during this campaign, fellow Ajax defender Alderweireld has claimed that White Hart Lane would be an ideal destination for Vertonghen.
Alderwiereld told Voetbal International: "Tottenham Hotspur would be a good club for him.
"They compete at the top and in a beautiful league and also he would have a good chance to be a starting player."
Spurs are currently third in the Premier League.
