Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen is reportedly "stalling" on signing a new contract with the club amid a rumoured fallout with manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 29-year-old centre-back is thought to have agreed a deal in principle with Spurs to extend his stay in North London but according to ESPN, he is yet to put pen to paper to make it official.
The Belgian reportedly had "a frank exchange of views" with Pochettino in the wake of Spurs' Champions League defeat to AS Monaco last month after the manager accused some of his players of lacking "passion".
Despite the disagreement, Vertonghen is said to be happy living in London and is expected to commit to the new deal soon, following the likes of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli in agreeing fresh contracts in recent months.
Vertonghen has racked up 124 appearances since joining Spurs from Ajax in 2012.
