Andre Villas-Boas has been urged to make the most of the transfer window by Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts.
Roberts believes that the Portuguese coach must bring in some quality additions to compensate for the losses of Rafael Van der Vaart and Luka Modric.
The former midfielder, who made 209 appearances for the club, claimed that summer signings Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson have not yet made an impression on the side yet.
Roberts said: "AVB brought in Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the summer but they have yet to make a big impression.
"Last season you had the excitement of Modric and Van der Vaart. They are world-class players. Dempsey and Sigurdsson are not.
"They are more regimental now. Van der Vaart last year got us out of trouble with so many second-half goals. I look at Dempsey and is he going to get you that? And Sigurdsson, is he going to get you that? For me, the answer is no."
Spurs face West Ham United in the Premier League's late kickoff today.
