Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly decided to offer young defender Kyle Walker-Peters a new contract.
The North Londoners saw first-choice right-back Kyle Walker leave the club for Manchester City this summer, while Kieran Trippier was ruled out through injury in pre-season.
Walker-Peters was subsequently picked for Spurs' opening game of the Premier League season, against Newcastle United, and gave a good account of himself in their 2-0 win.
According to The Sun, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been so impressed with the 20-year-old since the squad returned for pre-season that he wants to tie him down to a new deal.
Walker-Peters has also shone on the international stage in recent months, playing a key role in the England side that won the Under-20 World Cup over the summer.
