West Ham United have reportedly conceded defeat in their pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore.
The Spain international has now entered the final 18 months of his contract with the Molineux side and is being strongly linked with a January switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
Antonio Conte is supposedly keen to transform Traore into a wing-back in North London, and a recent report claimed that the two sides are getting closer to reaching an agreement.
West Ham were previously tipped to swoop for the former Barcelona starlet in 2022, but Football Insider reports that David Moyes's side have now pulled out of the race.
The report adds that West Ham have been informed of Tottenham's progress in negotiations and are therefore turning their attention to alternative targets for the final week of the January window.
Traore has just one goal to his name from 23 appearances in all tournaments this term and saw his late strike against Brentford ruled out by VAR due to offside. body check tags ::
