New Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly desperate to bring Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen to the Bernabeu in this summer's transfer window.
Back in the Spanish capital, Zidane is expected to be handed a significant transfer budget this summer in a bid to make Los Blancos a serious challenger for the La Liga title once again.
Chelsea's Eden Hazard continues to be linked with a move to Madrid, but according to The Mirror, the European champions are also determined to sign Eriksen from Tottenham.
The Denmark international will see his current deal with Spurs expire at the end of next season and his long-term future with Mauricio Pochettino's side is far from secure.
Signed from Ajax in the summer of 2013, Eriksen has scored 63 times and registered 81 assists in 264 appearances for his Premier League outfit in all competitions.
This term, the 27-year-old has contributed seven goals and 12 assists in 38 club appearances.
