England have reportedly been left anxious over Harry Kane's fitness for the World Cup this summer due to his lack of form after coming back from an ankle injury.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker spent just three weeks on the sidelines after suffering ankle ligament damage in March, despite initial claims that he was set for six weeks out.
Despite scoring three goals in his last six games, Kane's form has arguably not been on the same level as prior to his injury, when he scored 17 goals in 15 games between November and February.
According to The Times, the Three Lions' medical team are concerned that Kane may have compromised his chances of being in peak condition in Russia by rushing back to action for Spurs.
Kane has played 49 games for club and country this season, scoring 42 goals.
