England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that Andros Townsend picked up a "knock" against Montenegro on Friday but should be okay to face Poland in tomorrow night's critical World Cup qualifier.
Townsend scored the third goal on his way to a man-of-the-match performance against Montenegro and Hodgson wants to select the Tottenham Hotspur winger again on Tuesday.
"I was not thinking about massive changes to the team, but [Townsend] took a knock in the last game, so we will monitor that but we are very hopeful he will be fit to play," Hodgson said in a press conference this afternoon.
England virtually have to beat the Poles to guarantee a place in Brazil next year, with second-placed Ukraine, who are a point behind the Three Lions in Group H, facing minnows San Marino in their final qualifier.
