Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald has lamented the "very soft penalty" which led to St Mirren earning a 1-1 draw at the Firhill Stadium on Friday night.
Kris Doolan had given the hosts a 1-0 lead before Kenny McLean leveled matters from 12 yards after Jason Naismith went down under a challenge from Kallum Higginbotham on the stroke of half time.
"I thought it was a very soft penalty. I've seen them given and I've seen them not given, for us as well," the 36-year-old told reporters. "It just depends what ref you get, it's just your luck.
"I thought St Mirren dominated the first five minutes and then we dominated. But they had a good spell for the last five of the half, which led to the penalty."
Consequently, Archibald's men moved three points clear of Ross County, who occupy the relegation playoff spot in the Scottish Premiership table.
