Reading and Stevenage's pre-season friendly at the Lamex Stadium this evening ended goalless.
Stevenage had the ball in the back of the Reading net inside 10 minutes, but the goal was ruled out for a push on Alex McCarthy.
Hal Robson-Kanu was Reading's main threat in the first half, but the winger was forced off with an injury and had to be replaced by Jack Stacey before the interval.
Stevenage should have gone ahead not long after the restart, but Tom Pett could only fire over when well placed at the back post.
Reading threw on Pavel Pogrebnyak as they went in search of a winner, but Stevenage held firm to earn a well-deserved draw.
