Stranraer have climbed to the top of Scottish League One thanks to a 1-0 victory over bottom club Stirling Albion.
Stirling's defensive stubbornness would be the story for much of the night, despite long spells of dominance from Stranraer, who created the first chance when Sean Winter headed a Chris Aitken cross over.
Another big opportunity fell to Sean Winter late in the first half, but Callum Reidford made an impressive save to keep out the low effort.
Stirling came close to taking the lead against the run of play after the break when a corner fell to Lewis Coult, whose strike was pushed to safety by David Mitchell.
The winning goal arrived with just over 20 minutes remaining when William Gibson's free kick evaded everyone in the box before finding the bottom corner.
Stirling were unable to produce a response as Stranraer comfortably dominated possession in the closing stages to boost their promotion hopes.
