Shay Given has said that he has settled in with his new Stoke City teammates with ease.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper joined the Potters earlier this month following his release by Aston Villa and has been part of their pre-season tour of Asia.
Given says that he is pleased to have had the opportunity to go out on the tour with his new employers.
"It was nice to go straight out on a pre-season tour because meeting up with them has helped me and the other new players to settle in quite quickly," he told the club's official website.
"It's helped me having Irish lads here to help settle me in, but the rest of the group have been great and really made me and the rest of the new guys feel welcome. I've played against a few of the lads at a number of different clubs in my career so they know what I'm all about, so it was a really good week.
"It was also good to top that off by getting some game time as I'm still getting to know the lads and how they play really. The best way of doing that is playing games because I still need to keep my concentration levels and know my distances between myself and the back four, so it was nice to play on that forefront as well."
Given will challenge Jack Butland and Jakob Haugaard for the number one position at the Britannia Stadium.
