Stoke City have reportedly agreed a fee of just over £2m for Barnsley centre-back Liam Lindsay.
The Potters are thought to have beaten a host of sides, including Celtic, West Bromwich Albion, Derby County, Middlesbrough and Brescia, to the 23-year-old, who moved to Barnsley two years ago.
The Scot, who came through the ranks at Partick Thistle, featured heavily in the Tykes' successful promotion campaign from League One last term, making 46 appearances and scoring two goals in all competitions.
According to the Daily Mail, Lindsay will undergo a medical at Stoke this week after terms were agreed between the two Championship sides.
Nathan Jones's side finished firmly in the middle of the Championship table last season, 15 points clear of relegation but 19 adrift of the playoff places.
