Stoke City have revealed that experienced duo Peter Crouch and Glenn Whelan have penned new two-year contract extensions at the club.
Crouch joined the Potters from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2011, while Whelan has been at the Britannia Stadium since 2008, helping the club gain promotion from the Championship before consolidating a place in the top flight.
Between them the pair have amassed more than 350 appearances for City, and manager Mark Hughes was delighted by the faith shown by the key players.
"We've been talking to both players for a while and it's pleasing that both want to stay and be a part of what we are striving to achieve at the club," he said.
"They are both fantastic professionals who had contributed a great deal to Stoke City long before I joined the club and have continued to do so. I'm delighted they are staying with us for at least another couple of years."
Stoke are currently 10th in the Premier League table.
