Danny Collins is reportedly holding discussions with Nottingham Forest over a possible transfer from Stoke City.
The Welsh defender has struggled to establish himself at the Britannia Stadium since joining the club from Sunderland in 2009.
As a result, the 31-year-old has had loan spells in the Championship with Ipswich Town and West Ham United.
Following discussions regarding his future with manager Tony Pulis, Collins has been informed that he is free to move to Forest, according to BBC Sport.
The centre-back has made 12 senior appearances for his country.
