Former Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson is reportedly closing in on a move to Stoke City.
The 30-year-old left Anfield at the end of last season following a six-year stint at the club.
It has previously been suggested that both West Ham United and Stoke were in the running to land Johnson, but Sky Sports News claims that the Englishman favours a move to the Potters.
Johnson is said to be undergoing a medical this evening, before terms of a proposed three-year contract are agreed.
Stoke face Liverpool on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
