Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has intimated that the Potters have effectively signed Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
It was recently reported that Inter had accepted City's £12m bid for the 23-year-old, who endured a mixed spell at San Siro following a move from Bayern Munich in January.
The Stoke forward has now hinted that negotiations are more advanced than previously thought after taking to Twitter to reveal his delight at the proposed switch.
Shaqiri, who signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Nerazzurri in January, netted once in 15 Serie A appearances last term.
