Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed that the club could sign former Manchester United striker Michael Owen before the close of the summer window.
The 32-year-old, who was released from Old Trafford at the end of the season, has been open about his options but has insisted that he does not want to drop down into the Championship.
"I've always said he's a good player and someone I think people in the club would like to have around," said Pulis.
"Michael hasn't gone anywhere and it's still a possibility. There's still stuff happening and going on. Whether we can do a deal or not is another matter."
Potters striker Peter Crouch recently claimed that he would welcome the former England international to the Britannia Stadium.
