Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says that he won't be rushed into panic buys in the transfer market.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has said that he's not concerned by his side’s lack of activity in the transfer market.

The Potters have so far only managed to bring in Jonathan Woodgate on a free transfer, failing to convince Carlton Cole to move to the Britannia after they had an offer for the striker accepted by West Ham.

"We'll do our business with the clubs and people might be surprised who we do eventually end up with," he said.

"We will improve the squad before the window closes. But we've always done our business later in the transfer window rather than earlier.

"We have to make sure that we do our business at the right price - that is something that we have always maintained and something that we will always try to do.

"I think the closer you get to deadline day, there are better deals to be done with certain players."

Stoke tonight take on Hajduk Split in the Europa League third qualifying round at the Stadion Poljud. The club are 1-0 up after winning the first leg at the Britannia.
