Stoke City are reportedly lining up a bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.
The Potters manager Mark Hughes is keen on the England forward and is looking to bring him to the Britannia Stadium this summer, according to the Daily Star.
Stoke are willing to match Defoe's current salary of £60,000 per week but are not prepared to be pay too high a price for a player who will turn 31 in October.
