Stoke City have announced that Augsburg defender Kostas Stafylidis has moved to the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Earlier this week, Paul Lambert was named as the permanent replacement for Mark Hughes, and the Scot has wasted little time in pushing through his first transfer.
The Potters held an interest in the Greek international before the arrival of Lambert, but the club were keen to improve their options at full-back having already signed Moritz Bauer.
Stafylidis is no stranger to English football having spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Fulham, where 38 appearances were made in the Championship.
The 24-year-old has been at Augsburg for the past 18 months but although the player was a regular last season, has had made just two outings in the Bundesliga during the current campaign.
