Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has confirmed that the club are looking to bring in "one or two" new players in the coming weeks.
The Potters were one of the busiest sides in the transfer market last season, signing the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Gianelli Imbula, Joselu and Ibrahim Afellay.
However, they are yet to add to their squad this summer, with Coates blaming Euro 2016 for the club's lack of transfer activity.
"I'm sure things will start to move in the next few weeks. We're hoping to bring one or two new players in," Coates told BBC Radio Stoke.
"It's always messy with the Euros, as nothing gets done, but these things do take some time as clubs have their own agenda.
"You're not in control - you just have to be patient and hope things drop for you."
Stoke begin the new Premier League season away to newly-promoted Middlesbrough.
