Stoke City have reportedly told clubs that it would take a bid of £50m or more to prise Jack Butland away from the bet365 Stadium in January.
The 25-year-old has stayed with the Potters following their relegation to the Championship, but England boss Gareth Southgate warned him earlier this year that a lack of top-flight football could affect his international hopes.
Butland is understood to be open to a move away from the club when the transfer window reopens, but The Telegraph reports that Stoke are desperate to keep hold of their star asset.
The Championship outfit have reportedly placed a British-record transfer fee on the England international and will refuse to consider any bids of below £50m.
Such a deal would smash the current British transfer record for a goalkeeper, which is held by Jordan Pickford following his move to Everton.
Butland recently signed up to a new agency, sparking rumours that he could be seeking an exit from the club he has represented since 2013.
