Stoke City are preparing to submit an offer for Bolton Wanderers' Paul Robinson during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports News.
The left-back is out of contract at the Reebok Stadium in the summer and as a result Bolton are believed to be willing to listen to offers.
Potters manager Tony Pulis is keen to boost his defensive ranks and is said to believe that Robinson is the ideal candidate.
Robinson, 29, joined Wanderers in 2009 from West Bromwich Albion.
