Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for West Ham United.
While Allen had been expected to leave the Potters when they suffered relegation from the Premier League in 2018, the Wales international has continued his career in the Championship.
However, the Daily Mail claims that the Staffordshire outfit are now ready to part ways with the 29-year-old in a bid to cut costs at the bet365 Stadium.
The report says that West Ham are monitoring the situation, with the Hammers prepared to spend £8m on Allen.
As it stands, that would fall significantly short of Stoke's valuation, who allegedly want to receive in the region of £15m.
Burnley are also said to hold an interest, although the Clarets have no intention of meeting Stoke's current demands.
