Forfar Athletic have moved up to fifth in the Scottish League One table courtesy of a 4-0 win over third-placed Stranraer this evening, despite being forced to play the majority of the game with 10 men.
The visitors made a perfect start to the match when they broke the deadlock after just eight minutes, Dale Hilson firing an effort past David Mitchell.
Things seemed to take a turn for the worse in the 24th minute, however, as Gary Fusco was given his marching orders with a straight red card.
However, despite being at a numerical disadvantage, Forfar doubled their lead before the break, this time Omar Kader getting his name on the scoresheet in the 36th minute.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts just after the hour mark as Martyn Fotheringham extended his side's lead from the penalty spot.
Gavin Swankie then put the gloss on a remarkable result for his side with another goal just seven minutes later to make it 4-0 at Stair Park.
