Stuttgart have won their first game at home in the Bundesliga this season with a 2-1 defeat of high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bruno Labbadia's side opened the scoring after just six minutes when Christian Gentner poked home from just six yards out after Frankfurt defender Anderson failed to clear an Ibrahima Traore cross from the right.
Alexander Meier could have equalised for the visitors in the 25th minute had he been able to keep his header on target, and soon after Martin Harnik almost headed the ball into his own net.
Harnik almost scored at the right end a minute into the second half as he smashed his shot against the post.
Stuttgart goalkeeper Sven Ulreich kept his side's advantage with two important saves around the hour mark, denying Stefan Aigner and Sebastian Jung.
However, Ulreich could not stop Meier from curling a shot into the Stuttgart net in the 67th minute to make it 1-1.
Vedad Ibisevic then had a headed goal ruled out for offside, but the Bosnian striker secured the points for his side when he headed home Harnik's delivery with six minutes left on the clock.
